How To Get Awesome Skin Glow and Lustrous Hair At Low Cost

Looking for a low-cost yet powerful, personal care product to beautify you INSIDE and OUT that does not contain harmful chemicals or additives?

Remember that beauty begins from within, so remember to include coconut oil in your diet too in addition to your external, coconut-oil, beauty regime.

What Happens to Your Brain and Body When You Check Your Phone Before Bed?

Do you really know what happens to your brain and body when you check your phone before bed? The consequences are more far-reaching and serious than we imagine.

"Staring at screens right before sleep turns out to be much worse than previously thought. Dr. Dan Siegel, clinical professor of psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine, lays out all of the negative effects bedtime screen viewing can have on the brain and body" from faltering attention, impaired memory, compromised problem-solving ability, to insulin and metabolism disruption (and therefore weight gain), chronically fatigued neurons (your active neurons do not get rested), poorly performing glial cells (supportive cells are not able to remove the toxins from your neurons), and toxic cell connections, to a host of other related, serious, health problems.

So how important is sleep? Dr Siegel says it's very important to get 7-9 hours sleep, the optimum amount. It is also recommended that you turn off your devices one hour before bed-time instead of allowing the bright, blue light to disrupt your melatonin production which then keeps you awake into the late hours of the night and leads to all those negative bio-results discussed above.

Is this a growing problem? The more devices we have the more this trend is going to increase and now with children being supplied with these devices at an increasingly younger age, this problem is not going to disappear anytime soon, rather more and more of society will suffer from chronic sleep deprivation and at an increasingly earlier age. More accidents at work? less productivity? more health problems with weight, dementia, etc.? Expect these negative trends to grow ... and explode exponentially especially when you start wearing devices on your wrist or eye, and your house and its army of whiteware - fridge, oven, microwave, washing machine, tv, etc. - are all recruited into the mix. The idea that we could be at the cusp of the evolution of nations of sleep-deprived, tech-junkie zombies may not be so far-fetched nor the stuff of sci-fi any longer. You and your family can however counter against this trend by observing the simple tips mentioned above.

The Latest Cellulite Treatements | A Live Demonstration by Dr. Youn | Dos and Don'ts of Eating for Cellulite:

Dr. Anthony Youn Detroit, a Michigan plastic surgeon "reveals the latest treatments for cellulite, including the Body FX (which smooths cellulite, tightens the skin, and reduces fat - by a combination of actions) and the 9-minute cellulite cream by Adonia."
90 % of women has cellulite and some men are afflicted too.  This typically occurs in the buttocks and thighs from a combination of loose and damaged skin with fat pockets that get swollen. These fat pockets do not have to be big but can be small so even thin people can be afflicted.
The fat cells in these pockets tend to get swollen from toxins, which stretch the skin and when this 'caves in', in-between the fat cells it causes the dimpling effect (mandarin-peel look) to become the unsightly 'cellulite' as we know it.

  • Avoid white carbs eg.white rice, white flour, etc. {digested too fast, and causes sugar spike and inflammation which in turn, attacks collagen in the skin and makes you age faster - amongst other things}.
  • Avoid saturated fats (eat less butter, lard, eg.) - also increases inflammation and causes our skin to loosen or age faster.
  • Avoid too much salt (causes water retention and fat cells to swell and expand which worsens cellulite).
  • Do drink alot of water, to flush toxins and to hydrate your cells and body.

Know How to Play the 'Hospital Game' - IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE!

Hospital Statistics: One error per patient per day (minimum).

Why knowing how to prevent disease so that you AVOID going to hospital is your best bet for good health. "Hospitals are good for treating trauma cases but has a poor record for chronic illness care ... ".

Which month, or day of the week to avoid? It's a fact that the season when new interns and new trainees are recruited also "COINCIDES" with more mistakes, "medical misadventures" and death incidence, viz., the trainee-intake month of July. Also avoid weekends (when most errors occur).

If you do have to go to hospital, know your rights and how to invoke these if necessary. Hospital contracts are not etched in stone, cross out or add clauses to suit yourself. If they refuse to admit you because you crossed out or added clauses, jot that down too in the contract!!

Why the most important person in the hospital is YOU - the PATIENT - and how to use that power.

The patient has 'incredible power' but when you are incapacitated it is your advocate (ensure they are present 24/7 by your side for your entire hospital stay) who will step in for you. The best advocates are spouses, followed by your children.  Apart from keeping you company, their duty is to act as a witness for you and to stand guard over you when you are at your most vulnerable, from the medical staff responsible for your care (thus requiring them to be more careful in their medical treatment of you)! So have an advocate with you if possible, for your entire hospital stay.

Vitamin C: Take (higher doses of) vitamin C before admission into hospital and especially before surgery - it will help you fight infections, reduce pain and bleeding, and recover faster ...

Hospital (and institutional) food: Often of poor quality, phone around to research the hospitals' food menus and quality. Expect processed and sugared food (ie. junk foods). You may be able to get better food but you have to ask. It pays to be proactive, to survey and to conduct your own hospital research prior to admission. Food is important ...

Vitamins and Mulitvitamins: Recommended during your stay in hospital. Many modern illnesses are caused by deficiencies in vitamins and nutrients. The vested interest of hospitals NOT to empty their beds fast (for profit reasons) means that the responsibility of getting well falls squarely on YOUR shoulders. Recommended: Take a multivitamin with every meal.

Your hospitalisation outcome is determined by YOURSELF. You need to play (and know how to play) the 'Hospital Game'.  If you OPT OUT of the 'Game' by being compliant, unquestioning, that is, a "pious patient", you run the risk of coming out of hospital in a ...
